ABOUT ME
My name is Nicola, and I am the founder of esmeblake creative, a creative studio dedicated to exploring the beauty of abstract art. As a mum of two, I took the leap at 42 to start my own business, allowing my passion for mixed media art to flourish.
I work from my shared studio space in the heart of Norwich, above the beautiful Merchants, where I enjoy a stunning view of the river.
Painting is a true passion of mine; it calms my mind, which can be a wild place to navigate. Creating art provides me with a wonderful release, and much of my work stems from my innermost thoughts and feelings.
STUDIO SPACE
I share my creative studio space with five other talented women, all of whom are passionate about abstract art. It’s a wonderful calm environment where we enjoy lots of laughs and cups of tea. Being surrounded by such encouraging women inspires me as a mixed media artist.
MY WORK
As an intuitive mixed media artist, I use acrylics and various techniques in my creative studio to navigate my personal experiences. My abstract art acts as a bridge between the internal and the external, blending emotion with expressive abstraction. Each piece serves as an invitation to the viewer, a call to pause, connect, and discover their own story within the layers of my journey.
