Rawness, Resonance, and Moving Forward
Share
When I first opened this exhibition, I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. Sharing artwork born from such a deep, personal healing journey requires a massive leap of courage. You are laying out your rawest emotions and it feels very vulnerable making. I nearly chickened out at the 11th hour. I wondered if people would understand? Would it resonate? Is it too much?
The response over the past few days has left me completely blown away.
Reading messages calling the pieces "hauntingly beautiful," "powerful," and "inspiring" has given me a feeling I find hard to put into words. To know that sharing my own story has moved you and created a quiet space for your own reflections makes every moment of vulnerability so deeply worth it.
Thank you to everyone who has visited, reached out, shared a kind word, or taken a piece of this journey home with them. Your support means the world to me.
As I savour this moment, my mind is already racing with new ideas in the studio playing with bold new light, fresh abstract textures, and the next chapter of this creative path. But for today, I’m just pausing, soaking it all in, and feeling endlessly grateful.
With love and gratitude,
Nicola
